Products Manufactured :-	Kalah, Ghati (Lota), Sarai, Tau, Heta (Khanti), Kerahi etc.
Employment:-	1000 artisans.
Turnover Before the Start of CDP:-	Rs. 55.00 million per year.
Market:-	Local market.
Problems faced by the Cluster:- 1. Scrap Brass used as raw material for re-rolling-Resulting in poor quality products. 2. Lack of mechanization in the Cluster. 3. Lack of Market Exposure. 4. Lack of Marketing Consortia & Brand Image. 5. Poor Entrepreneurial Quality. 6. Absence of Association. 7. Lack of Finance. 8. Lack of Training Facility. 9. Lack of Infrastructure like for Artisans. 10. Lack of BDS in the field of R & D, Testing, Design Development, Marketing & Technology upgradation in the North Eastern Region.
To Preserve the Cultural Heritage of Assam Coupled with Product Development, Networking, Mechanization, and Consortia’s, Common Facility Centre, Raw Material Bank & Recognition at National & International Level. The different activities undertaken in the cluster so far are: WorkshoponTechnology Upgration for the cluster in collaboration with IIT Guwahati. Exhibition-cum Sale of Brass & Bell Metal Products of the Cluster at NEDFiHaat Guwahati. Seminaron Consortia Formation with NRDC, Hyderabad at Hajo to create awareness about benefits & formalities involved in consortia formation. Held on 14th July’05.Attended by 40 artisans. Formation of Association & Strengthening the Association. AwarenessProgramme on ISO 9000 at Guwahati. AwarenessProgramme on ISO 14001 at Guwahati. 2nd CDCC Meeting Held on 9th December’05 to provide a Road map for the Cluster Development programme Undertaken by SISI Guwahati at Hajo. & explore Possible intervention By different developmental agencies. M.D.P. onFundamentals of Book Keeping & Accountancy at Hajo to train youth about fundamentals of accountancy. Held from 2nd to 6th February, 06. Attended by 21 youths. NewsLetter for Brass & Bell Metal Cluster, Hajo for wide publicity of SIDO’s Cluster Development programme at Hajo. Inaugurated during the second CDCC Meeting. Pre-feasibilityStudy on CFC, Product Diversification, Design Modification/ Development conducted by IIT Guwahati during March’06. Showroom for Hajo Brass Cluster at Guwahati. Skill Development Workshop & Technology Upgradation Programmes of 1 week at IIT Guwahati to develop the skill of the artisans & equip them with necessary skills to take up mechanized production in future. Design & New Product Development Workshop of 1 week duration with IIT Guwahati & DC (Handicraft) to develop new designs for existing products.To explore possibilities for introducting new products.
