SSI - Sub-Contracting Exchange

Sub contracting exchange is an industrial information centre which provides marketing activities to small scale industries where spare capacities of Small Scale Industries for various processes, products & Services are registered and documented centrally so that tender enquiries received from large/ medium scale State/Central Government undertakings for the requirement of different components, sub-assembles and services of various types, are passed on to the appropriate registered small scale units who can meet the requirements of large/ medium scale undertakings.

The sub-contacting exchange of this Institute is popularly known as Assam Sub-Contact Exchange ( ASCX). The ASCX has brought out a Directory of Registered Small Scale Industries who are having spare capacity which can be utilized by large/medium scale undertakings, which is updated regularly. Interested small scale entrepreneurs are hereby advised to register their spare capacities with the ASCX to avail the benefit of this scheme.

Ancillary Development

Parts/components/sub-assemblies required by large scale inductries are identified and competent small scale units and entrepreneurs are selected to manufacture them and supply to large industries. for assisting SSI Ancillary Units, exhibitions/buyers-sellers meet/ seminars(vendor development program), open-house discussions, workshop, etc are frequently organised.
